Patrol Division

The Patrol Division is not only the backbone of the department but it is the largest and most visible division of the Cohasset Police Department.

The Patrol Division operates (24) hours a day, (7) days a week, (365) days per year patrolling Cohasset. Officers utilize marked police cars, motorcycles, mountain bikes, and foot patrols, in the performance of their duties.

One of the primary responsibilities of the Patrol Division is conducting high-visibility patrol, serving as a deterrent to criminal activity and remaining accessible to members of the community.

This is taken on Rte. 3A after a police chase where the suspect fired shots at the State Police. The suspect’s tires were flattened by CPD and he was subsequently captured.
