On Saturday, October 13, 2007, at approximately 2:00pm, Cohasset Police Officers responded to a hold-up alarm at the Sovereign Bank, 380 Chief Justice Cushing Highway, Cohasset.

The first arriving police officers confirmed that a robbery had just occurred. Employees of the bank were stating that a white female, approximately 20 years of age, wearing dark colored clothing and a hat, passed a note to a teller demanding cash. The note inferred that the suspect was armed.

Witnesses on scene reported that the suspect fled on foot in an unknown direction.
Cohasset Police, with the assistance of the Scituate Police K-9, were able to determine that the suspect likely ran towards the area of Sohier Street. A thorough search of the area was conducted by police officers with negative results.

The FBI Bank Robbery Task Force has been notified. There were no injuries reported during the robbery. The Cohasset Police Department’s Criminal Investigation Division (CID) is investigating this case and bank surveillance photos of the robbery suspect will be posted on www.massmostwanted.org as soon as possible.
