Motorcyclist Injured in Rte. 3A Crash

COHASSET - On Tuesday, April 22, 2008, at about 12:03pm, the Cohasset Police Department’s Emergency Dispatch Center received multiple calls reporting a motor vehicle crash involving a motorcycle on Rte. 3A near the intersection of Lower King Street.
First arriving police officers found a 39 year-old male from the Town of Braintree, lying in the road suffering from multiple traumatic injuries that he received as a result of rear-ending a car with his 2007 Harley Davidson Motorcycle. The vehicle that was struck by the motorcyclist was a 1996 GMC Jimmy operated by a 17 year-old female from Braintree.
The driver of the GMC Jimmy was uninjured. The motorcyclist was treated on scene by Cohasset Fire Department Paramedics. He was subsequently flown to the Boston Medical Center by helicopter. His condition is unknown at this time, but did not appear to be life threatening.
Rte. 3A had to be closed for approximately 30 minutes. This accident is under investigation by the Cohasset Police Department
