On Thursday, November 13, 2008, at about 3pm, the Cohasset Emergency Dispatch Center received a 9-1-1 call reporting that a male construction worker had fallen off of a third floor interior landing at a residential construction site at 90 Gammons Road. Emergency personnel from the Cohasset Police and Fire Department’s were immediately dispatched along with a mutual aid ambulance from the Scituate Fire Department.
Police officials on scene reported that a painter had fallen about 20 feet and received severe traumatic injuries to his head.
The male that was injured was transported to the South Shore Hospital by the Scituate Fire Department ambulance. The investigation has been turned over to the Federal Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA). OSHA investigators from the Braintree office responded to the scene.
The victim is identified as: Anthony Brzoski, 38 years of age, Hull, MA. The victim works for Jayco Painting Company out of Halifax, MA.
