On arrival, police officers found that a 1996 Jeep Grand Cherokee, which had been heading south bound on Main Street (from Hingham towards Scituate), had crossed the double yellow line and crashed into a parked 2008 Toyota Highlander. Upon impact, the Jeep jumped the sidewalk and careened into the front window of Cohasset Hardware. The building was vacant at the time of the crash and sustained no major structural damage.

He will be summonsed to Quincy District Court for negligent operation of a motor vehicle and failure to drive within marked lanes. While officials were interviewing Mr. Lamm on scene, he advised them that he suffers from a medical condition that my effect his ability to drive a motor vehicle. As a result of this information, the Cohasset Police Department has notified the Massachusetts Registry of Motor Vehicles and requested that Mr. Lamm’s drivers license be suspended pending a medical evaluation.
